Mission Statement

The Mission of The One Thousand Churches Connected Program (an initiative of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition) is to connect 20 religious organizations in the top 50 minority markets and inspire them to teach financial stewardship from the pulpit, in Sunday School classes and in church sponsored seminars. The religious organizations are encouraged to focus on the following aspects of financial stewardship:

• Debt Elimination “Owe nothing to anyone except to love…” Rm. 13:8
• Responsible Credit Management “The wicked borrows and does not repay…” Ps. 37:21
• Homeownership rather than renting “Houses and riches are an inheritance from our fathers….Pv.19:14
• Investment “Well done my faithful servant, you’ve been faithful over little, I’ll make you ruler over much…. Mt. 25:14-30
• Asset Protection “Get your house in order, for you shall die” 2 Kings 20:1
• Technology “The mind of a prudent man acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge” Pv. 18:15
